A lasting project of FRANCIS & FRIENDS Charitable Foundation is the support of children’s homes.
Most of the assisted children’s homes, where also severely handicapped children are cared for, are supported by financial as well as by non-monetary donations, such as meeting the costs for the repair of a defective roof or the payment of an urgently needed treatment through a doctor, to give but two examples from a large number of possible fields of application.
This support is not only granted in material but also in non-material form, i.e. through giving to these children particular attention and affection. Time, closeness and warmth are often particularly important for partly or completely parentless and orphaned children.
The children’s homes are generally managed by persons with a religious background, most of them are under the supervision of nuns.
